Summer is a time of happiness, sunshine, fresh blooms, vibrant prints and positivity all around. The new season makes us all want to refresh our homes with new décor and our wardrobes with some easy breezy warm weather staples. These may include beautiful printed home essentials, delicate curtains, statement wallpapers, light fabric beach dresses and so much more. Keeping all these good things in mind, we came across an absolutely talented Toronto based textile designer and artist, Virginia Johnson.

Known for her stunning and one-of-a-kind nature inspired designs and art-work, Virginia Johnson studied Art history at Queen’s and then pursued fashion design at Parsons in New York. Her illustration career began when she started designing stationery for Kate Spade. Soon, she started her own collection of beautiful printed caftans and then went on to design dresses, scarves and tunics.

These gorgeous pieces have been sold at stores such as Barneys, Liberty’s, Holt Renfrew, J.Crew and Anthropologie.

Along with working in the textile and art industry, Virginia Johnson also is a proud author of a book in the field of gardening and travel.  Her last book, Travels Through the French Riviera, was published in the year 2018 by Artisan Books.

This season, if you’re looking to accessorize your homes, or your outfits, head over to VirginiaJohnson.com for some beautiful, dreamy and artistic pieces for yourself or your loved ones. They’re sure to make you happy and fill your space with positivity.
