Hello everyone, welcome back to our Toronto fashion segment. For this week’s post, we’ll be featuring a very special company based in Toronto called “Wild Moon Jewelry”.
The Biakoye jewellery collection from this Toronto-born designer Asia Clarke is all about empowerment. She is inspired by her creative vision and afro roots. Passionate for the future of people of color in the industry. Co-created with the Obrapaa Women’s Group in Ghana, the pieces are made solely from recycled glass beads, 100% recycled fine silver, repurposed brass and 100% of proceeds go towards the HIV/AIDS peer educators in Ghana.
This designer has been doing great coming to its customers. Here are some of the product by the brand:
Asia has an extremely creative mind and she creates good handmade jewelry with love and eco-conscious, industrial and Afrocentric aesthetic. Inspired by the travel and history to various places around the world, she like her pieces to have an influence of all the heritage she learns about during her visits.
The brand is starting to move a bit more towards offering apparel and currently has cool custom made printed tee’s to shop. They are currently only 2 amazing ones to choose from on their website but hope to get more from the brand in future.
They popularize their brand by using #wildmoonjewelery and #BIAKOYE hashtags.
