Are you as excited as we are? 2023 Humber INFUSE magazine is in the works and we’d like you to take along for the ride.
What is INFUSE?
Infuse Magazine is solely run by students in Toronto, Ontario. Specifically students in the Fashion Arts and Business program at Humber college, North campus and Fashion Management Students at the Humber College Lakeshore campus.
Infuse consists of many teams to keep this magazine publishing; Managers, art directors, photographers, social media team and content writers. Last to mention, but not least – our Editor in chief Emelia Thompson.
Our team comes together with ideas, content, innovation and more to give you exclusive looks at interviews with Toronto designers, content creators, influencers and more.
In The Works
Huge shout out to our Editor in Chief Emelia Thompson and our Art Director Claire Bobert – these gals came ready to play. Although they have their own title with this magazine I like to call them visionaries. When a select few of us came together to conduct a photoshoot with our two beautiful models for the 2023 magazine, Emelia and Claire created a vision, worked from it, using as many tools from Pinterest to instagram to magazines; it was absolutely amazing to see it all come to life.
Getting Ready
Like Beyoncé said, I woke up like this. Well we didn’t really, but you don’t have to know that. From model to supermodel, our girls looked incredible. An honorable mention to the makeup artist Andrea, who took time out of her night to glam Tara and Naja and really bring the imagination into existence. During hair and makeup, it’s not always pretty, too keep it raw and real.. malfunctions is not particularly part of our practice but solutions and going forward is.
Just when the excitement arises at the time of set up, the shared smiles and laughs and conversations leading up to the final shoot, all for the photo drop background to rip and slowly melt the smiles off and drown out the laughs.
Now, this may happen elsewhere, but for us? No! Keeping the same energy, we put it into the backdrop and came up with a solution.. Tape. Thank god for tape and strategizing. Now this portion was the most chaotic of the night, and we hadn’t really started the night at this point! With amazing team effort, mediocre taping surgery and we were back in business and ready for the photo op!
You Can Look, But You Can’t Touch
….And I mean it, an absolute priceless masterpiece. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – first hand witnessing this vision come to life was incredible. It was very heartwarming, inspirational and just thankful to be a part of such a creative, inspirational and supportive team.
Forget Cosmo and Wanda, We have Tara (pink) and Naja (Blue). Get these girls an agency already!
