The year 2021 seems to favour sneakers fashioned insync with the new trends which are not only stylish but also super comfortable. One such trend is “platform sneakers”. While the last iterations were clunky and lacked the design for functionality, the recent set matches our expectations and is almost close to perfect. We also saw a comeback of the classics like the iconic gray pair of ‘New Balance’ or a ‘sleek Veja’.
HIGH TOPS
If you want those extra inches, making you look fashionably tall similar to heels without the hard-to-walk-in effect, platform sneakers are the way to go. Converse recently gave its signature kicks a chunky makeover. Furthermore, to bring it to your attention ‘Bottega Veneta’ has also jumped into the thick-soled trend.
NEUTRALS
There’s something so elevating about trying on a pair of neutral sneakers. Whether you choose gray, blush pink, beige, or white, one feels elated with a pair of kicks in these calming colors, definitely the right choice, quite soothing for the eyes.
RETRO SPORT
We’re obsessed with the new iteration of retro sneakers so commonly visible on the runways. The ’70s are making a comeback with brands like Loewe and REDONE providing us with a more clearer view of the righteous path to do it.
CLASSICS
Just like neutrals, we’ve found ourselves returning to the classics. These sneakers are tried and trusted for a reason. Plus, rocking these out in public now has a cool factor attached to them, especially nowadays with many designers collaborating with brands like Nike and New Balance to bring back the classic trend.
CHUNKY SNEAKERS
While the chunky platform trend started in 2020, it’s trucked along well into 2021, with brands like Dior and R13 continuing to reinvent the wheel. The newer iterations are plainly more wearable yet stylish.
