And here we thought that the only Beckham involved in fashion was Victoria. Kent & Curwen is co-owned by the dreamboat himself: David Beckham, and the current Creative Director is Daniel Kearns. The brand, originally created by Eric Kent and Dorothy Curwen (hence the name), was dedicated to making ties for war veterans. Eventually they expanded into clothing for college and club sports, which is very evident in the collection. Compared to the relaxed fit we have seen during the streetwear craze; Kent & Curwen takes you back to the classic UK style. The looks are straight out of a polo match, and are very reminiscent of the 60’s Mod Look. The show also displayed four looks for women as part of their ‘sized-for-women’ capsule. It is so amazing to see the lines of gender blurring within the fashion world; who knows maybe in a few years there would not be a need to separate men’s from women’s fashion week.
